Common types of foundation pit supporting structures and their applicable conditions
1. Slope excavation
Advantages: only stability is required and the price is the cheapest.
Disadvantages: The backfill earthwork is large.
Applicable: Projects with open space and no important buildings around
2. Mix cement and soil deep in the retaining wall
The deep-mixed cement-soil retaining wall uses a deep mixer to forcibly mix the soil and the input cement slurry on-site to form a continuously overlapping cement-soil columnar reinforced solid retaining wall.
Advantages: Since there is generally no support in the pit, it is convenient for mechanized and rapid excavation; it has the dual functions of retaining soil and water; it is generally more economical; there is no vibration, no noise, less pollution, and slight soil squeeze during construction.
Disadvantages: The displacement and thickness are relatively large. For foundation pits with long lengths, measures such as adding piers and arching in the middle need to be taken to limit excessive displacement; care must be taken during construction to avoid affecting the surrounding environment.
Applicable: downtown projects.
